此次花旗全球个人银行业务重组不涉及花旗在中国市场的企业和机构客户业务。中国市场仍然是花旗全球战略和业务增长的重要组成部分。花旗在中国市场继续发展的决心坚定不改。

花旗将继续在中国市场投入,携手客户共同成长。我们也持续积极寻觅和评估符合自身优势和发展特点的新业务机会,包括寻求筹备一家证券公司和一家期货公司,以进一步丰富我们的产品和服务。

花旗在中国市场即将展开以企业机构业务为重点的发展新篇章。我们将确保以保护客户、员工和相关利益方的利益出发,力求将影响降至最低的方式审慎妥善开展个人业务调整。

Citi China Announcement

Citi today announced actions in our Global Consumer Bank that will enable more targeted investment to businesses where we have the competitive advantages and scale necessary to drive higher returns for shareholders.

Today’s announcement does not change Citi’s commitment to China, which remains critical to our strategy and our growth as a global firm and it has no impact on our Institutional businesses in China.

Citi is committed to investing and supporting our clients to further grow our franchise in China. We are actively exploring new business opportunities here, including actively pursuing the set-up of a Securities Company and a Futures Company, as we look to continuously enrich and broaden our product capabilities.

As we embark on a new chapter in China, we will ensure that we do this in a way that protects the interests of and minimizes the impact on our customers, employees and other stakeholders. We are confident, optimistic and hopeful about our future in China. We look forward to many more years of working with all our stakeholders in China and serving local communities and playing an active role in supporting China’s ongoing financial opening-up.

Citi commenced operations in China in 1902. In 2007, Citi became a locally incorporated bank in China, one of the first foreign banks to do so. In the last five years, Citi has expanded and strengthened its product capabilities, including receiving licenses for domestic fund custody, Bond Connect, bond underwriting and Type A. Citi China is also one of the two foreign quoting banks for LPR (Loan Prime Rate). Today, Citi is the leading US bank in China. We bank close to 1,000 MNCs, over 350 local corporates and over 2,300 emerging corporates and middle corporates. In the last twelve months, we have raised over US$30 billion for Chinese clients from global capital markets.
