To make payment in USD with Citibank debit card via online or mobile banking, you will need to visit the Citibank counter to add the payee in advance.
To pay Citibank credit card bill using the debit card of another bank, the debit card paying bank needs to support the interbank transfer function.
In the case of Citibank USD credit card bill payment from other banks, the actual credit time is dependent on the USD remitting time of the other bank. Citibank will restore the credit limit of the customer 1 working day after receiving the remittance.
When making payment via online banking of another bank, please take note of the lead time. Generally, the account is credited within 10 minutes (no impact during holiday) by real time fund transfer while 3 working days (delayed accordingly in the event of national holidays) with normal fund transfer after the funds in the debit card of the other bank are successfully transferred. Upon crediting, the available credit limit is restored. Please make payment appropriately in advance to avoid late fee and interest.
If you need to select the receiving bank when making real time payment, you may choose Citibank China to make the payment, or any CITI branch (excluding Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone Sub-branch) when making normal payment, the funds will still go into your credit card account.
